What is a mobile business card?(MBC)

The MBC is a digital web site designed for mobile phones that contains key information about you or your business. As well as the usual contact details, you would include on a printed business card, you can add one touch links to social networking, live directions using Google and Google street view. You can also include You Tube promotional links. All links are live!

How do I get started?

Click on the create my business card button. Enter your web site address. This takes you to the build page of the card. From here you can design and style your first card using easy drop down menus, fonts, size, colours and more. You can include as much information as you wish. If it is just name, address and phone number, that is fine. You can add a logo and choose from any one of our pre-loaded background images. Alternatively you can load your own PNG file of 300 x 350 pixels.

What happens next?

Once you are happy with the way your card looks, click through to the next page. If your happy with the final look of your card, you can then subscribe to make and keep your card live! All your information will remain stored on your live card. We will invoice your business monthly, per live business card.

When you click activate and have completed the subscription a receipt will be sent to your email and you will also receive an activation email. Click the activate button. This proves it is your email and you’re our customer. A second email will then arrive with the web address for you to copy to your mobile. Type this web address as you would to access any web site. Your card will then appear on your mobile. Save it to your home screen.

Customer business account and CRM

Once you have your account activated, log in to your account. From here you can now import all employees or just key employees via a CSV file or add them one at a time. As soon as these are saved they will all receive a text/sms message with a link to their own card. They should save their MBC card to their home screen and start using it by the blue arrow forward button.
Businesses can use the CRM service to view employee activity. You can see the number of cards they have sent and to which number, date and time. Great intelligence that adds real value to being digital. To take advantage of this service the employee must enter the phone number sent to within the text message. This is also prefilled as a part of the text, making it easy to remember!

What if I want to cancel

You can cancel anytime by simply emailing us to cancel. No further payments will be taken. Your card will remain live for 30 days following cancelation date, then switch off. You will no longer be able to view the card and those with your card will not be able to see your information.

Can I update my card details if I change jobs, title, phone number?

Yes. Login to the business account to make updates 24/7 or you can use the email we sent you with your MBC card address on activation which also has a update/edit web address. Use a desktop rather than your mobile to make updates. It is easier to see and design. Click save and all the cards sent and held by employees will be updated. You can edit any part of your card, add more detail, delete, add social networking, change button colours and more. View on the final page and then save the updates. The changes to the card or cards after saving are instant.

Will my changes update the cards I have sent to to others?

Yes, that is the advantage of having a digital business card. The card is live, so anyone you have sent a card to, will automatically have the current up to date information and changes you have made. You can make as many changes as you would like! There is no extra cost.

How do I send my MBC card to someone?

We have designed the card so it is easy to text. The blue arrow button near the bottom of your card is the forward button. Click this and it pre-fills a text/SMS message box. We have included instructions within the message, though you can add as much or as little detail to your message as you would like. We include To:- XXXX and From XXXX, simply remove and replace with names so that the person you send it to realises it is from you. Put in their number and send. It is easy!

What if I have more than one card on my home screen?

On the iPhone you can simply drag one MBC on top of another by holding one icon down and dragging. It will then create a folder that can hold up to nine contacts. On android simply create a folder and add the MBC cards to it.
